If you look good,I don’t care who you are but i will find you and i will cook you.
That’s my story with this dish,I came across this recipe and it looked a little bit complicated from the name and all, though do not be mistaken, its one of the easiest most delicious meal you can ever put together,a real table pleaser, people would actually think you took hours to prepare this delicacy, this as you will come to find out is totally so not true.
It was a new experience this one and after making it for the first time i just realized that this dish is so open to your imagination, you can do whatever you like it,play with it to suit your taste.
Well lets get down in preparing this fantastic dish.

1 kg ground beef
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 tablespoon salt
1 egg
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup ketchup
3 cups water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon corn starch or whole purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
2 large yellow onions

In a large bowl mix together your ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, salt & pepper.

Using my hand,I brought this mixture together in a manner similar to kneading dough just to make sure all the dry ingredients are incorporated into the final product.

You then go ahead and make oval  patties depending with the amount of servings you will need,I made 5 huge patties, this process is similar to making Burger patties, I found it pretty much simple, especially with the egg in there, your mixture will be so easy to mould into any shape you prefer.

Chop up your onions and set aside. In a large skillet, brown your patties about 3 minutes each side, you do not have to cook them through as this is just the browning process. This will give our steak that nice looking colour, you can have it done in a grill at this stage too if you so wish.

Take your patties of the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet,I went ahead and sauteed my onions until they just start to turn golden brown in colour.

As our onions are browning lets get down to making our sauce.
In a separate bowl, you mix in your water, ketchup, mustard powder and corn starch.I then went ahead and placed my patties inside the skillet and poured my sauce mixture on top

Cook this on a high for the first ten minutes then simmer covered for another 15 minutes.

Your sauce should be now now thick and looking good to eat already, serve this over mashed potatoes or however you like it best.
