Chicken breasts are a blank canvas and are perfect in soaking up flavours and what better than lemon and pepper. This is a versatile dish that you can have with your vegetables, wedges or whatever sides you prefer.Breasts are notorious for being bland and dry, however this recipe ensures for a moist, tender&flavourful breast.
Not to mention you also can’t go wrong with this chicken recipe on salads, simply delicious and healthy.
INGREDIENTS
2 medium sized chicken breasts
1/2 tablespoon freshly ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 lemon
1 tablespoon olive oil
DIRECTIONS
Wash clean your chicken breasts and pat them dry
I find it cheaper buying a whole chicken cutting out the breasts and saving the thighs, drums and carcass for later use.
Start by applying olive oil on your breasts and season it generously with salt and pepper
Heat up your frying pan or grill pan to a medium high
Add in about two tablespoons olive oil into the pan
Place your breasts on the frying pan and let it cook undisturbed for 6 minutes depending on the thickness of your breasts
You know it’s the right time to flip them when the sides turn opaque
After 6 minutes,flip them over
Let them cook for a further 6 minutes squeezing some lemon juice on them as they cook before taking them out.
Let your breasts rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Enjoy.
so easy to cook …i love it.
