Hosting a party,get-togethers,or having friends over,’Mshikakis’ are one of those meals served as starters, appetisers or as a snack.
This recipe makes for delicious, juicy and tender Kabobs, the beef paired with the sweet caramelized pineapples are a match made in heaven, the sweetness and tang from the pineapples compliment the rich beefy flavours coming from the steak making this as addictive as they can get.
Marinating the beef in pineapple juice breaks down the proteins in the meat tenderising it in the process.
Bringing together this delicious treat doesn’t get any easier than this, all you need is a grill pan, broiler oven or an open fire grill with a prep and cook time of under 30 minutes excluding the marination.
I had a friend over and paired this with itallian style baked potato wedges and we absolutely loved it.

2 large red onions
2 large green bell pepper
1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce
1 cup pineapple juice/mushed pineapples
2 teaspoons garlic
2 teaspoons ginger
2 cups diced pineapples
In a mixing bowl, mix in all your marinade ingredients apart from the diced pineapples, peppers and onions
Mix this well until all the meat is coated in the marinade
Set this in a refrigerator to marinate from 30 minutes to 4 hours.
Take it out of the refrigerator and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before working the beef.
When ready to grill, skewer your beef, pineapples, onions&peppers
Heat up your grill, griddle pan or set your oven to broil.Place your skewers on your screaming hot grill. The secret to delicious Kabobs is fast cooking over high heat
