Its December and I am sure firing up the grill or the smoker is in everyones bucket list.I have shared my various barbecue sauces with you guys and you might be surprised at the yellow color of this one in particular.We are all used to red barbecue sauces or sauces that are a bit darker in complexion like my HOME MADE HABANERO MANGO BARBECUE SAUCE



or my go to HOME MADE BARBECUE SAUCE that’s my go to recipe before I add into it any other flavours ,customising it and turning it into something exciting, exotic and unique.


My honey mustard barbecue sauce is the game changer you have been waiting for and deserve.Its easy to bring together, spicy and flavourful bound to break the the monotony out of any meat you have been enjoying this festive season.

This sauce has the perfect balance of sweetness, tang,heat and spices.This sauce while isn’t ketchup based like most of my barbecue sauces, yellow mustard is the star of the show in this one.Be it chicken, pork,goat,rabbit or any other meats you fancy this festive season, be sure to try out my honey mustard barbecue sauce for an experience you won’t be forgetting any time soon.

This is not a complicated recipe and what I like about it is that you can make it beforehand,store it in the refrigerator for when you need to fire up that grill and throw down something delicious for yourself and your loved ones.

I have been wanting to share with you some amazing recipes that uses this sauce as a key ingredient and thought it fair enough that I share this recipe with you guys before I share with you some fantastic mouth watering meals prepared using this sauce.First on the list will have to be chicken wings, hold in there for that one, my mouth is watering just by the thought of them already.






  1. 21/2 cups yellow mustard
  2. 1/2 cup ketchup
  3. 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  4. 1/2 cup honey
  5. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  6. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  7. 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
  8. 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  9. 1 teaspoon lime juice



  • Mix in all the ingredients in a small sauce pan and bring to a quick boil while staring to ensure everything is nice and combined.
  • Turn the heat low to a simmer and let it simmer for about 10 minutes
  • taste and adjust for seasoning before taking it off the heat.
  • Store in an airtight jar in your refrigerator for 5 to 6 weeks.
